HABSHAN GENERAL CONTRACTING INC. (“Habshan”) is a Canadian wholly owned subsidiary of Habshan Electromechanical Contracting L.L.C (“Parent Company”) based in the UAE. The Parent Company is well-established in the Middle Eastern market, specializing in recruiting labourers, skilled tradespeople, and supervisors for construction projects. It aims to leverage its extensive network of candidates to establish a recruiting agency, and eventually an employment agency, in Canada to service similar sectors.
To set up the Canadian subsidiary, the Parent Company plans to temporarily relocate Mr. Murtaza, the managing partner and 50% shareholder, to Canada. Additionally, Mr. Murtaza will provide up to $500,000 to establish Habshan.
The Canadian construction labour market offers significant opportunities for recruiting and employment specialists like Habshan. The sector has been experiencing widespread labour shortages, which are expected to continue as baby boomers retire en masse. This coincides with increasing demand for housing and improved transportation infrastructure in Canada. Over the next two years, Habshan plans to hire four Canadians for sales, recruiter, and manager positions. The company forecasts conservative revenues of $122,000 in Year 1 and $273,000 in Year 2, anticipating breaking even and generating an income of approximately $33,000 after two years of operations.
